Kenya Coast Slipway: Marine Construction, August 2018

Scope of Services:

Design and build of a new slipway on the coast of Kenya. This involved the demolition of the existing slipway on site which was in a state of disrepair. The new slipway allows boats to be launched into and taken out of the ocean. In order to construct the structure, a sheet pile cofferdam was installed, measuring 144 linear metres in total. The cofferdam retained 7m of water to create a dry working space. Precast reinforced concrete slabs and haunches were placed inside the cofferdam to form the structure of the ramp. The final slipway is 104m long into the ocean and is 6.4m wide.

EA Piling is proud to have successfully completed such a prestigious project and has proven its capabilities in marine construction.
